West coast surf spots
Plouzané :
- Le Minou : you can surf there at any tide.
Crozon :
Crozon peninsula is the big cross at the end of Brittany or rather at the End of the World. And thanks to this situation, you will find many different spots, different exposures to the wind, to the swell and to the sun. The best spots are situated between the Cap de la Chèvre and the Pointe du Toulinguet.
- La Palue : the most famous spot of the peninsula and even of Brittany. There are nearly always waves, above all beach breaks.
- Goulien : great with a west swell and on high tide and flood tide.
Pointe du Raz :
- Baie des Trépassés : a splendid beach situated between 2 cliffs (Pointe du Raz and Pointe du Van), in front of Sein Island. One of the easiest and most appreciated spots in Finistère. Waves are rather easy to surf and you can surf there at any tide (but preferably at low tide).
Plouhinec :
- Guendrez : a much appreciated spot. Perfect at flood tide. To favour with a north-east wind.
- Saint Tugen : at any tide.
- L’île aux Vaches : waves up to 16 feet.
Penhors :
Situated in the middle of Audierne bay. The coastal relief is really varied; so you have the choice between beach breaks and reef breaks.
- Penhors beach: there are always waves, whatever the tide.
Plomeur :
- Porz Carn
- Pointe de la Torche : a reference for surf in Brittany. Moreover, contests are regularly organized: France Cup for example. Waves are surfed at every season, but in autumn, there are long swells. Spring is also a very good season.
- Tronoën
