Brittany coasts are 2700km long. So if you don't manage to find a spot that suits you, it means that you don't really want to. And thanks to its peninsula shape, surrounded by water on its three sides, you will find a lot of different spots and surf conditions.
To inform you and because we know that you are interested in: 860km of Breton coasts have already been placed under the Littoral Conservancy protection.
We give you an advice: the best season to surf in Brittany is from September to March with a preference for the autumn. It's at this period that the waves are the best. So see you soon for a session! Moreover, local surfers are good fellows!
West Coast : from Brest to the Pays Bigouden
From Brest to Audierne Bay, and passing by Crozon peninsula, you are at the extremity of the world, at the confluence of the Channel and the Atlantic Ocean. Concerning the landscapes, it's the "kingdom" of lighthouses on the cliffs' tops: it promises great waves. Two sites are really well known: the Pointe de la Torche and Crozon peninsula, but you will also discover many other spots.

South Coast : from the Pays Bigouden to Quiberon
Water is warmer here: 3 degrees more than in North Brittany. Surfers come here to benefit from the microclimate but also from the spots. You certainly have already heard about the big waves of Port Rhu (in Quiberon) and of Kaolin (in Guidel). Good sessions there are really frequent and surf spots are much diversified: 11 different spots on Quiberon peninsula.

North Coast: from Saint Malo to the Conquet
From Saint Malo to Perros-Guirec, from the Emerald Coast to the Pink Granit Coast, the littoral is a real colours symphony. Thin sand beaches alternate with big cliffs of nearly 70m high. You will have wonderful sessions on this coast. Concerning the Finistère North Coast, from Locquirec to the Conquet, it's a sheer and rocky coast. Here, more than anywhere else, the tides as well as the currents are key-elements to surf.
