The best surfing spots in Brittany - 1 week tour

7.30pm : Quiberon youth hostel.
After a few days exploring with ZE BUS, you decide to stop off somewhere and you go for Brittany! But you don't know where to find the waves! Leave it to us as we know all of Brittany's surf spots and have come up with a short, easy-to-follow tour (all you have to do is admire the scenery!). Have a good trip!

Day 1 and 2 : Quiberon
Quiberon
You won't be disappointed by the Quiberon peninsula - it's ideal for all kinds of sport. If you are hoping to make the most of the waves and sea breeze, then Wild Quiberon with its exposed west coast is for you - it is the spot for surfers. It is in fact one of the most beautiful surfing spots in Brittany and you'll nearly always find some waves. But in case you don't, there are lots of other sports to enjoy (it's also an ideal spot for land sailing!).

Day 3 : Guidel
Guidel
Perfect waves are waiting for you just a few kilometres from Lorient. Surfing spots in Guidel and the surrounding area are popular with experienced surfers. Don't miss the famous Le Loc'h wave!

Day 4 : Pointe de la Torche
La Pointe de la Torche
You've arrived in the Bigouden area where Breton traditions are more alive than ever. The Bigouden community is renowned for wearing traditional Breton dress. And you have to wonder why as the Bigouden headdress cannot be easy to wear with all the wind there is here!
This area boasts a famous surfing spot - Pointe de la Torche. And it needs little introduction as it has hosted legs of the French championships on several occasions. Not to be missed!

Day 5 and 6: Crozon peninsula
Crozon peninsula
You've arrived at the "end of the world" as the locals say. Given its cross-like shape and location (at the confluence of the Channel and the Atlantic), you needn't worry as you'll always find a suitable spot. And the setting is simply wonderful with clear blue water, high cliffs, traditional harbours and white sandy beaches. It is a magical place for everyone, especially for surfers and hikers. And even though you are at the end of the world, don't panic! There are plenty of opportunities to party on the peninsula.

Day 7 : Quiberon
Quiberon
It is the end of your adventure in Brittany but you still have half a day to make the most of Quiberon's surf spots.

Leaving Brittany :
We know you wish you could stay longer! After this short tour of Brittany, you can continue your road trip of France with ZE BUS. Don't miss the bus! ZE BUS stops at Quiberon youth hostel every Friday and Monday at 7.30am.
