Southern Brittany - 1 week tour
7.30pm: Quiberon youth hostel.
After a few days exploring with ZE BUS, you decide to stop off in Brittany and what a good choice! We have come up with a short tour that will enable you to see everything worth seeing in Brittany. Have a good trip!

Day 1 : Quiberon
Quiberon
You won't be disappointed by the Quiberon peninsula - it's ideal for all kinds of sport. If you are hoping to make the most of the waves and sea breeze, the west coast is for you - it is the spot for surfers and land sailors. You just want to relax? The white sandy beaches on the east coast are perfect for sunbathing.

Day 2 : Belle Ile
Belle Ile
Visitors to Belle Ile come back different people. And that's if they come back at all! As this island is heaven on earth (or perhaps sea!) and a really exciting day awaits you thanks to impressive jagged cliffs, beautiful beaches and traditional fishing harbours.

Day 3 : Vannes and the Gulf of Morbihan
Vannes
Fancy a step back in time? Kit yourself out with a helmet and a coat of mail and set off to conquer the city of Vannes! Wander through the alleyways and discover all the half-timbered houses that miraculously survived the bloody attacks from the English.

The Gulf of Morbihan
Get your binoculars ready! Sea birds have made the gulf their haven! And how lucky they are! They have laid claim to an inland sea covering roughly 200 km2 and hundreds of islands and islets dotted with whitewashed houses.

Day 4 : Ile de Groix
Ile de Groix
"When you see Groix you're filled with joy"!. What a joy it is to behold this hilly island with its hamlets, traditional houses and winding streets. The island only has 318 inhabitants. But that doesn't stop it from being a very lively island where the islanders love to party!

Day 5 : Quimper
Quimper
The capital of the Cornouaille! The Breton spirit pervades this city in its cathedral, in the names of its streets and squares and, above all, in the delicious pancakes and galettes (Finistère serves the finest pancakes!).

Day 6 : Bigouden area
Welcome in the area where Breton traditions are more alive than ever.

La Pointe de la Torche
Pointe de la Torche is a renowned spot for surfing and windsurfing that needs little introduction: it has hosted legs of the French championships on several occasions. Not to be missed!

Saint Guénolé
It is one of four working fishing harbours in the Bigouden area renowned for Dublin bay prawns.

Le Guilvinec
This is a thriving fishing harbour in a typically Bigouden town. And it is here that you simply must watch the trawlers returning home and unloading their catch.

Day 7 : Pointe du Raz
Pointe du Raz
A legendary site where mermaids still lie in wait for handsome young men! Imagine the scene - two high granite cliff faces surrounding a fine sandy beach the Ile de Sein in the distance.
