Destination : Brittany's islands - 1 week tour
7.30pm : Quiberon youth hostel.
After a few days exploring with ZE BUS, you decide to stop off in Brittany! We come up with a short, easy-to-follow tour (all you have to do is admire the scenery!). And it starts now! Have a good trip!

Day 1 and Jour 2 : Belle Ile
Belle Ile
Visitors to Belle Ile come back different people. And that's if they come back at all! As this island is heaven on earth (or perhaps sea!) and a really exciting day awaits you thanks to impressive jagged cliffs, beautiful beaches and traditional fishing harbours.

Day 3 : Ile de Groix
Ile de Groix
"When you see Groix you're filled with joy". After all you can understand why. What a joy it is to behold this hilly island with its hamlets, traditional houses and winding streets. The island only has 318 inhabitants. But that doesn't stop it from being a very lively place where the islanders love to party!

Day 4 : Quimper
Quimper
Cure your sea sickness by exploring Cornouaille's capital - Quimper. The Breton spirit is present everywhere in this city in its cathedral, in the names of its streets and squares and, above all, in the delicious pancakes and galettes (Finistère serves the finest pancakes!).

Day 5 : Le Conquet/Ouessant
Le Conquet
Le Conquet, a fishing harbour set at the remote western tip of Brittany, offers fantastic views of the Iroise Sea. What better way to wait for your boat to Ouessant?

Day 6 : Ouessant
Ouessant
This island is set at France's most western tip where the English Channel meets the Atlantic Sea. This rugged island is also known as the Lighthouse island. Explore the island along one of its many coastal paths.

Day 7 : Quiberon
Quiberon
You won't be disappointed by the Quiberon peninsula - it's ideal for all kinds of sport. If you are hoping to make the most of the waves and sea breeze, the west coast is for you - it is the spot for surfers and land sailors. You just want to relax? That's possible too as the white sandy beaches on the east coast are perfect for sunbathing.

Day 8 : Gulf of Morbihan
(Ile d'Arz and Ile aux Moines)
Gulf of Morbihan
Sea birds have made the gulf their haven! And how lucky they are! They have laid claim to an inland sea, covering roughly 200 km2, with hundreds of islands and islets. The 2 largest islands are the Ile aux Moines and the Ile d'Arz - very different one from the other.

Ile aux Moines
Also known as "the Pearl of the Gulf", this island is perfect for hikes and bike rides. Its fisherman's cottages and beautiful granite houses will enchant you!

Ile d’Arz
And now for the Captain's island - the former rival of the Ile aux Moines inhabitants. This island is more rugged with many beaches and beautiful viewpoints of the Gulf of Morbihan.

Leaving Brittany :
We know you'll wish you could stay longer! After this short tour of Brittany, you can continue your road trip of France with ZE BUS. Don't miss the bus! ZE BUS stops at Quiberon youth hostel every Friday and Monday at 7.30am.
